Congratulations to Team USA ("Goose" Perez, Jim Pierce, Jim
Joseph, Jacqui Kapinowski, Bob Prenoveau) who won the bronze medal at the World Wheelchair
Curling Championships in Switzerland.

Hamilton College sent 2 teams to the East Coast
Regional College Curling Tournament and returned with 3rd and 6th
place finishes. Congratulations to 2nd year curlers Dave Hamilton,
Tom Irvin, Yuqi Mao, Katherine Alser (3rd place), and 1st year
curlers Will Welles, Jared Pienkos, Deborah Barany (6th
place), who played with only three team members.

The green was plentiful at the UCC’s
recent “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” bonspiel. Green
hair, mustaches, clothes, beer, parfaits, Jell-O shots and
balloons all added to the merrymaking on St. Patrick’s Day.
Forty eight curlers participated and a
delicious corned beef dinner was served and a good time was
had by all.

Results of the Rose bonspiel: Three game high: Chuck DelMonte rink,
runner-up Don Knapp rink; Two-game high: Dale Jones rink,
runner-up Carl Thomas rink; One-game high: Brian Moore rink,
runner-up Sue Williams rink. At the awards ceremony for
the Rose, Mickey Haase was awarded a life-time honorary
membership in the UCC for her contributions to the club and
to curling.
