R.O.C.K.S. (youth curling)The Utica Curling Club’s Youth Programs provide curling instruction for youth from age 5 up to high school seniors. The Youth Program is divided into two separate age-group sessions that meet most Sunday afternoons from late October through late March.
Our Little Rocker Program offers curling for youngsters who are more comfortable with our lighter-weight, half-size “middle rocks”, and is designed for youth of ages 5-8 years old.
Our Junior Program is primarily designed for youth in middle school and high school. We break this group onto two sheets pending the number of children and their curling experience. During the ice time, we use the beginning to teach a skill related to curling and then use the second half to play a short game to use those skill taught. This is a great learning experience and we hope as your child grows, they continue to curl throughout their life.
